Naval Grand Summer Ball - Devon Event Photography

Attended a wonderful summer ball at Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth last Friday with my partner, Rob and his parents. The event named, 'Take to the Seas' had a 20's theme to it where the invitation stated 'The event draws inspiration from the opulence and hedonism of high class cruise tourism from the years between the wars.' Growing up, I never went to balls or classy black tie events, so my childhood inner Disney princess-self was certainly living the dream that evening! Thank you Rob!

James & Sophie Sneak Peak - Bath Wedding Photography

James & Sophie look so happy together just moments after exchanging their vows. Beautiful ceremony in Holy Trinity Church in a small village, Droynton outskirts of Bath, Somerset. Such an emotionally happy ceremony, hard holding back the tears...

Congratulations to you both!

James Pre-Wedding Drinks - Bath Event Photography - Bath Brew House

My partner, Rob and I were invited to wonderful wedding for James and Sophie in Bath this June, and I couldn't help but take lots of photos to document the celebrations! James is my partner's cousin and we attended a get together for James' family and friends the evening before the big day. In a lovely little brewery, The Bath Brew House, there were lots of great drinks and food to go around. The atmosphere was great and it's always lovely meeting up with the family after some time. There was also various competitive games of table football which I had a go at, but it was a lot harder than I thought! Also towards the end of the night there was an obligatory round of port to top it off! Certainly a wonderful evening.

Congratulations James & Sophie!

Packaging Materials: Husk Band Postcard Pack

I love handmade things and creating personalised packages. I also love postcards and am now offering personalised postcard packages when you book a photo shoot. It's lovely sending and receiving postcards in the post as you can easily personalise your own message with a photo from the shoot. A great idea to send to friends and family as thank you, hello, to use as invitation cards for that personal touch or even to have as a keepsake to treasure, frame or send. The options are endless! Each postcard can have a different image or duplicates if you'd like!

These images are from a promo postcard pack I made for metal band, Husk from their photo shoot. You can see the images here. Postcards are also a great way to promote yourself, band, business, event or whatever you fancy! Email to find out how you can get your own postcard pack!

Somerset Portrait Photography - Husk Band Shoot Promos

Husk Band group shot
Excited to finally share these images that I did for 'psychedelic sludge metal' band Husk as promotional images for their upcoming album, 'Upon His Mountain'. Photographed on a rainy day in March in the Quantock Hills, Somerset, it certainly was fun to shoot! Where usually this weather would be a no-no for a photo shoot, it worked perfectly for the earthy aesthetic for Husk, creating rich tones and a moody atmosphere to set the scene. Love going to the Quantocks, beautiful scenery and backdrops. On this particularly muddy day I was glad I'd packed my walking boots! Tom, Charlie, Tim & Kynan were great to work with and their band chemistry certainly showed! They managed to express their serious and contemplative side as well as their fun and silly antics!

Love creating my hand made packages of prints to give to clients, all wrapped up in string. This is one I gave to a client last week. It's lovely seeing images in print, it creates an exciting feeling. Happy I'm making a few more this month where each package is uniquely decorated and created with love.
