SAW Celebration of Cranes - Somerset Event Photography

Can't believe it's been a year since documenting this great community event: The Celebration of Cranes in Stoke St Gregory for a great arts organisation, Somerset Art Works (SAW). A chilly winter's evening brought to life by a artists, musicians, locals schools, businesses and family. This event celebrated five years of The Great Crane Project and the return of the crane to the Somerset Levels.

I had the pleasure of photographing the lead up to the performance as well as filming the event. The video below is a compilation of highlights from the crane celebrations event in Stoke St Gregory on Sat 22 Nov 2014, a lovely little village in Somerset where local primary schools took part in creating wonderful illuminated crane lanterns with artist Sarah Butterworth. Great turn out and atmosphere with fun upbeat music by Tim Hill and The Big Noise Street Band. Love community events and projects like this, especially in the picturesque landscape.

Thank you SAW for another great documentation project! Look forward to sharing more of their projects soon from this year.

Wedding Fayre Favourites - Hampshire Vendors

Went to my first wedding fayre in Hampshire this year with my partner, Rob last Sunday and had a fantastic time finding out about local wedding vendors. Hosted by PMN Wedding Fayre in the lovely DeVere's Venue New Place hotel, it was fun playing an engaged couple planning our wedding as all the vendors asked when our special date was... so we rolled with it! :) Also it's perfectly normal to be planning your wedding before you've got engaged... right? :) So I picked loads of flyers and leaflets and whittled it down to my favourites from the day shown in the photo above. Also had a laugh in the 217 Events photo booth where Rob and & dressed up with lots of props (see photo postcard in the middle).

I'm buzzing with lots of wedding ideas ready to launch my wedding photography packages for 2016.

Here are some of my favourite vendors from the day of whom I'd love to work with!

Also picked up Your Hampshire & Dorset Wedding magazine filled with lots of great ideas.

Looking to collaborate on wedding shoots, need assistance or wanting to have new professional product/portrait photography to boost your wedding services? Please email: and I'd be happy to discuss your ideas.
Thank you!

New Forest Styled Wedding Shoot Sneak Peak - Hampshire Wedding Photography

Gorgeous photo of these two in a styled wedding shoot I did over the the summer in the beautiful New ForestHampshire of Jenny & Rob. The day couldn't have been more perfect with the lighting and weather. Highly recommend visiting the New Forest!

Funny story behind this shoot: got lots of congratulatory whistles & honks from cars passing by on a main road that cut through the open field... but didn't realise that the styled groom is actually my partner!

Jenny & Rob are great friends so it was a fun laugh to do this shoot with them. Thank you!
Lots more beautiful photos coming soon!

Love creating beautiful shoots like this and can't wait to create images like this for more couples.. If you'd like to book your portrait session please email I'm sure we'll have a fantastic time!

Romantic Hotel Getaway - Buckinghamshire Lifestyle Photography - Waddesdon Manor / Crazy Bear Hotel

Had an amazing time in Buckinghamshire where my parter Rob treated me to an marvellous belated birthday treat in August for an overnight stay in the snazzy and rather unique Crazy Bear Beaconsfield Hotel. Love experiencing quirky new places, this certainly was a hotel break to remember! The d├ęcor was extravagant and there was always something to admire (the hotel bathrooms are a trippy experience!) Also this was the first time of staying in a hotel where you can soak in a copper bath with water coming from the ceiling that was in the bedroom?! Having such as wonderful and thoughtful boyfriend, Rob also treated me to a lovely seven course tasting menu in their Thai restaurant. It's not everyday we get to dress up and thought this was a wonderful occasion for sparkles and suits. It's way too often I'm wearing my comfy home clothes, so a floor length gown felt fabulous for the evening.

Happy 4 years hun! x

The day after we explored the Buckinghamshire countryside and it's so pretty! We first went to Beaconsfield's model village which had a sense of Sixties nostalgia. Being 4"11', I certainly felt like a giant for the day which made me happy :). Also I came across a model of fox hunting which was interesting...

Afterwards we visited Waddeson Manor and was so excited that I decided to buy a year's membership with the National Trust! The houses and gardens are so wonderfully kept and every place has a unique character. I've been wanting to visit this magnificent manor for a while especially because of its rich history, being owned by the Rothschild family. We had a tour round the wine cellar and couldn't believe how many wine bottles they had down there! There was also a lovely aviary where Rob snapped some pretty cool pictures of some exotic birds. I think he's a wildlife photographer in the making!

A fun packed 2 days, I'll certainly be visiting Buckinghamshire again and exploring more beautiful historical English locations.

Have you visited any wonderful locations recently? Recommend your favourite houses & gardens in the comments below. I would love to do a photo shoot in one of these fabulous locations... If you're a fan of the National Trust houses & gardens, get in touch and I'd love to take your portrait... whether that be an engagement, wedding, family, couple or some lifestyle portraits of yourself! Let's create some fun photos!
